ELLI WOLLANGK
MASTER CERTIFIED PICTURE FRAMER
Elli grew up in Winneconne and attended Lourdes H.S. in Oshkosh. She left college to marry and raise two daughters. Tom’s career in management of high-end sheet metal fabrication shops sent the family to locations from California to Virginia and points in between. In 2002, while living in Virginia, Elli was attracted to the custom picture framing industry. After attending a Décor Trade Show in Atlanta, she decided it was a good fit for her art background and skill set. Initial training and acquiring the specialized equipment took much of the first year and then Tom was transferred to St. Louis, Mo. for one year. In 2005, Elli and Tom moved back to Oshkosh to be near family and set up shop as Custom Design Workshop on S. Oregon Street. Elli managed the sales, design, inventory and final assembly of the custom framing and Tom oversaw the woodworking shop, computer drafting and printing required on different jobs. Throughout this time Elli has been an active participant in her industry’s trade association. She has earned both levels of industry certification to be able to put MCPF (Master Certified Picture Framer) after her name. She currently chairs the International Certification Committee for the PPFA. After 16 years, with Tom retiring to work his woodworking magic on the family houses, it was time for Elli to switch directions from wearing all the business hats to just being a custom picture framer. Image 360 was the logical next step. Outside of framing, Elli enjoys working on her own art projects, gardening, writing, sewing, traveling, time with grandchildren and noisy family gatherings.
